Darwin Harbour Fishing Charters

The Darwin Harbour waterways is subject to large tidal influence (0 – 7 metre movements). Small tidal movement allows us to fish the reef and large movements are good for estuary fishing.

To ensure the best fishing opportunity book well in advance in order to take advantage of the best tides.

Half Day Charters

Departs Stokes Hill Wharf floating pontoon daily 8.00am to 12.00 noon, or 12.30pm to 4.30pm. Half and full day fishing charters are conducted within the Darwin Harbour throughout the whole year.

$90 adults $70 children under 12

Full day charters

Full day charters start at 8.00am, pickup from city hotels from 7.30am. Hotel transfers, lunch, bait, tackle and drinks.

$165 adults $145 children under 12

During the quieter months full day charters may be offered as two half days. This option is particularly popular with women and the older folk, as the opportunity to stretch legs and use the toilet facilities at the wharf is possible.

Family friendly fishing fun

Group and family rates are available on request please inquire. Unaccompanied children travel at adult rates.

You will need a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, long sleeved shirt & trousers (optional), camera and insect repellent. No eskies please.

All Tackle Sportfishing Charters - Darwin Harbour

The opportunity to sportfish on Darwin's doorstep is available.  This charter whether half or full day makes the best use of your time, particularly if you are in town on business.

Species targeted include snapper, salmon, queenfish, trevally, mackerel, tuna and barramundi.  Please keep in mind that different species are targeted on different tides.

Price is $750 maximum 4 passengers (this will depend on fishing style)

Vessels

Three (3) fully canopied vessels are available allowing a total capacity of 20 people. Rods, reels, tackle (on a replace if lost basis) and bait are all supplied along with water and soft drinks.

The maximum number of passengers of our vessels are 8 passengers with one vessel able to carry 4 passengers.

Small reef and wreck fishing

You can expect to be catching a large variety of fish including Golden Snapper, Queenfish, Trevally, Salmon, Blue Tusk, Rock Cod, Jewfish, Mackerel, Sweet lip and small reef shark.

Estuary Fishing

Fish varieties caught include threadfin and blue salmon, Cod, Queenfish, Golden Snapper and on the correct tidal variance Barramundi.

Although we promote catch and release, clients are free to take their catch if they wish so long as no regulations are being breached.
