Best times to visit the Top End for Barramundi Fishing

January to February
A lot of water is around and big storms prevalent - not the best time for camping, most roads are out, even many sealed ones. Humidity is between 80% - 100%. Fish are more elusive due to expanded territories.

March to May
Great fishing. Wet season run off, still a few storms and high humidity, but the wet almost finished. The Barra are biting, and there is no excuse for not coming back to camp with a feed of fish.

June to August
The Barra are slowing down a little. Waters are cooler and although the Barra are still there, a bit of skill and cunning is required. The catchword is patience.

September to December
Here we go again! Weather and water starting to warm up and so are the Barra. Fishing is easier as the water holes shrink, lots of hungry Barra waiting for the wet.

The most popular method of fishing for Barramundi is with lures. However, many very dedicated fly fishermen are turning their expertise in this art toward the challenging Barramundi, and are being rewarded for their efforts with excellent results.

Booking policy
20% deposit is required to confirm fishing charter. This payment can be paid by credit card or cheque.

Final payment is required no later than 7 days prior to departure.

Cancellation policy
20% of charter cost for cancellation more than 24 hours or less than 7 days prior to departure.

100% charge will be incurred for cancellation within 24 hours prior to departure or no show.
